Author's Description:

Yesterday we visited the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix to view Dale Chihuly’s exhibit of glass sculptures entitled Chihuly: The Nature of Glass. They are absolutely stunning pieces of art. I’ve loved his work for the longest time and I’ve seen them from Vancouver to Hawaii, and now in Phoenix. Wherever you see them they always create that life energy. Take this blue mille fiori installed on streaming water, for example. It looks as if they represent the water’s soul. Water being essential to life takes on a whole different angle when you look at it.

If you are in Phoenix, Arizona don’t miss this amazing art installation in the garden that is there for you to enjoy until May 31, 2009. It’s a delight to see and I would not hesitate to come see it again.

Photo Notes: Taken with a Nikon D80. My lens had a circular polarizer on when I took this photo.

this is an amazing representation of art in its various form! I love any art pieces and sculptures made of glass. Its fragility and fluidity create its unique character. I think they are special! DC has mastered his craft, his creations exhibits his amazing talent! I’d love to see his future exhibits.

@Thess, Have you been to George in Yaletown? The ‘chandelier’ there is Chihuly’s. :)
