Author's Description:

This is another shot I took at the Chihuly exhibit at the Desert Botanical Garden.

I think that great art can be appreciated by anyone regardless of age, sex, race or social standing. I have witnessed kids as young as probably 3 to the elderly, gasp in awe at the beauty and larger-than-life nature of Chihuly’s art in the garden. You become transported to the artist’s vision of the world he is trying to create: magical, magnificent, playful. These sense(s)-provoking visuals make you think about how they contrast the environment in which they have been installed, and at the same time, how much they complement and just work. They absolutely, stunningly, do.

Wow - this is absolutely stunning! It stands out so strikingly against an already colour saturated background. I have never seen his work before, but will definitely check it out and see if I might catch some on our brief trip back through the US this June :)
